I've always thought it's likely that most trans people would
just want to get on with their lives quietly rather than get
involved in public spats. I'm not sure if Davies is an obsessive
but I suppose if you're 'on the other side' it might appear that
she is.

I really feel for your cousin SQ, to have something she loves
and enjoy playing taken away from her must be heartbreaking. I’m
going to withdraw from this too as I really don’t feel qualified
to comment anymore.

Sure. But where are the high profile trans people? Genuine
question: I know of none in this country.

Hey, I'm just going by her visible output. It's basically what
she's known for now. A quick look at her Twitter feed reveals
hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of tweets on the topic in
recent times; I scrolled back to earlier this year (as far as
Twitter would let me) and it's the same story. She is prolific
and laser-focused on trans people. And I've had the misfortune
of seeing some of her replies to other people on this topic as
well. She's been doing this for literally years.
She's also been putting drag performers in the firing line as
well, in case anyone thought it was just trans sportspeople she
had an issue with (it's not, she genuinely doesn't believe trans
women are anything other than men playing pretend, so it makes
total sense for her to go after drag)
And I find it very hard to find people like her on the "other"
side. Just by using Twitter normally I come across a lot of
people who are proudly anti-trans in their Twitter handle; a
look at their Twitter feed shows 90% of their output (and it's
always prolific) is about trans issues. Despite not being
anti-trans, I never seem to find their opposite.

You're right, I'm no champion of women's right, but I have a
father and a daughter, and know lots of women so I'm far more
invested in them than trans rights.
I don't think it's the trans community getting the blame, as you
say they are vanishingly small. It's the rights activists which
are the issue.

why does it say she's not welcome in rugby? She can play for a
men's team, and I don't think anyone is stopping her being a
supporter. I just don't understand this stance.
In fact this is exactly what Davies is talking about. The number
of trans women is absolutely tiny, and of course the numbers
actually playing rugby is tinier still. To allow them to play in
women's rugby when they have an obvious physical advantage,
ostensibly for their feelings or some kind of ideology, is just
ridiculous.
