Anyone who supports the RFU in their anti transgender stance
should watch the Quins Pride statement.
If you still support this disgusting blanket ban wanted by the
RFU after watching then you should be ashamed.
Rugby is for all, not just heterosexuals.

And I agree this debate has been without insults, but you should
see some of the comments made to Brain Moore on the subject as
he also disagrees on some of the points without further evidence

The quins pride statement is certainly interesting viewing. I
disagree with a lot of it, but as I'm not voting, I don't they
care what I think, and quite right too

I don't know about her financial situation or much about her
views but it seems a bit harsh to call Sharron Davies someone
who has won nine medals for her country at Olympic, European and
Commonwealth games and over twenty national titles a minor
celebrity.

You’ve just highlighted something important. There isn’t a
single comment on this thread that is ANTI transgender. People
have expressed some rationale why the ban MIGHT be reasonable
currently, highlighting fairness. Just because it doesn't go
across with someone else’s opinion, so in this case Quins Pride,
it does NOT move them onto any scale where they are outright
wrong to think that way. (Unlike someone expressing say racist
comments).
Critical thinking and fair debate is slowly being eroded from
society to the point certain views are simply de-platformed from
reasonable discussion just because it is something that might
cause offence to a small % of the populus.
Rugby is for all. That’s why we have openly gay rugby
players/refs, where their support was overwhelming. We have kids
play rugby, we have womens rugby getting a higher promotion (IE
TBG). This country has a fair bit to do so there’s a reasonable
working solution, but compared to most of the developed world we
are streets ahead. By and large trans people are more and more
being accepted into society. There are many countries in Europe
yet alone certainly the Middle East that are about 30-200 years
behind us in attitude

She's a minor celebrity, yeah. She won a bunch of stuff in
swimming 30+ years ago. She had a notable career at the time,
but has done nothing since and has been living off her
celebrity, such as it is. Being good at a sport a long time ago
isn't enough to sustain a career - not that you'd know it with
her insistence that she's been cancelled by a hate mob... all
over Twitter, major newspapers, TV appearances, etc...
If it wasn't for her relentless campaigning against trans people
in sport, I doubt anyone under the age of 30 would know who she
is in this country.

Or watching any swimming coverage by the BBC as she is a sports
commentator , or uses Learn to swim that’s been translated into
numerous languages, why is it anyone has an opposing view people
have to discredit them?
Is Brian Moore’s opinion also not valid? As he also doesn’t
agree with trans women in rugby?
