They seem to have more and more ways of conning fans, its seems
to me you pay for something that costs the club nothing, as
player based activities will be part of their contracts.

I don't think it is "conning fans".
Basically, if you want to do these activities, then you go
through the steps to buy them, etc.
Otherwise you don't.
I will probably choose not to. I am not being conned out of
anything.
But - I have never felt the need to buy non-fungible tokens.
But, if there was one that I felt that I wanted, then who knows
. . . But, I can't see it happening.

It is because Kids want to do things and parents will end up
paying for this.

Okay - So, if kids want to have a message printed on the
captains armband and the parent agrees and pays for it, then I
still don't see how they are being conned . . . .

Steve Morton our Chief Commercial Officer since May 2021 joined
Quins having been with Wolves for 8 years! So straight lift from
soccer and Laurie’s past.
Absolutely disgraceful and I shall not be happy I get any e
mails about this. Very disappointing to treat Harlequins
supporters with this deplorable wheeze.

Pretty disappointed in the club (and, it seems, the Quinssa
twitter account) for signing up to this.
There are some pretty questionable underpinning to Crypto,
tokens (fungible or otherwise) from a sustainability and ethics
point of view, and looks from the outside very much like a naked
money-grab. Given the performance of the stuff, it's a PR
disaster waiting to happen as fans inevitably lose money at some
stage.
Other clubs will simply offer that sort of access via youtube
for free without getting caught up with any of this stuff, just
like Saints have (seemingly knowingly) done via Twitter this
evening.
Would strongly suspect this gets walked back. Laurie did say he
would leave no stone unturned, but this is one probably best
left alone.
