Marcus really isn’t making a case is he. I get it was a reflex
but now it’s probably let Aus back in to win, because we’ve
already started very poorly now our macho man approach has run
out of steam.

Quins won’t be losing Smith during the international windows
anymore.

After a promising start from England, the usual poor decisions
and lack of plan. Could still win this but far from convincing.
Marcus having a stinker.

All Australia now and let’s be honest it’s another awful
performance. We started well and had good dominance but as soon
as a team starts to run we are made to look very average.
If these are EJs master tactics, it’s going to probably be 3-0
and hopefully the end of him.

17-25, SHOULD be an England win but still time for late drama.
If Australia were more disciplined it would be a different
story, but that’s the story about our game plan for the last few
years hoping for penalties to get our score up rather than
looking to “win” the game so to speak with our backs.

England just play no rugby at all. One out forwards carrying
into contact again and again.

I can see what EJ is trying to do, which probably in fairness
might see us eek out a few tight games and get to the quarters
or semis, but this tactic will not simply work against NZ or SA.
If we ever come up against a team that keeps its discipline, we
simply won’t be scoring.
Of the debutants, I quite liked Jack at scrumhalf. Looking
forward having him start the games and having someone like
Quirke come on could be a great combo.
Freeman was solid, but no one in the backs really has the
feeling something special is going to happen, and that sadly
includes Marcus
