Only the Cheetahs are, all others will play at home in SA

Correct. They made mention of this during the Challenge Cup
draw. The actual fixtures will be announced later (prob mid
August) after the various negotiations with TV
companies/sponsors/clubs etc take place.

I think that playing in Durban is a good option.
The weather during winter is mild and the humidity is
manageable.
Unfortunately though, we are likely to be there during December
or January. At this time of year, you need to breath through
your gills in this cockroach infested place.
But, if the games are in the evening, then it could be okay.
The flight to Durban is okay. Normally change at Jo'burg and
then take a 1 hour internal flight. There is no jet lag.
But, most importantly, Durban is at sea level.
This is a huge benefit. The alternative is playing somewhere at
Pretoria where the ground is like concrete; there is no oxygen
and the goal kickers realise that every kick goes 10 metres or
more further. (It really benefits the local kickers.)
Cape Town usually seems like a good option. But, summers in Cape
Town can get hot. (The climate is Mediterranean there and then
can get 40C temperatures.) Also, it can get a tad breezy.

I have 90 hours flying time on the A320neo on Flight Simulator,
so I'd happily offer to get us over there. Will need a cheeky
stop off though to re-fuel.

Stay in Umhlanga and travel in. Nearer the airport too.
