       I want the champions cup

Since I began support Quins (2002) I've seen the team lift the
       following:
       European Challenge Cup (x2)
       RFU championship (x1)
RFU championship Cup (EDF Trophy) (x1)
       Premiership titles (x2)
       Anglo Welsh/LV Cup/Powergen (x1)* I class the 'Premiership Rugby
Cup' in this category but maybe it should be separate?
But no Champions Cup, I want it to complete the set of all
available major trophy's during my supporting time!
Perhaps next season will be the season I get my wish!
Mind you 7 trophy's in 20 years is a very good return for my
       support :)

Next season is going to be very, very difficult for English
clubs. The smaller salary cap and the long periods without the
England players means we'll be up against it. Quins winning the
Champions Cup in the next 5 years would be a huge upset. Quins
winning it next season is practically inconceivable.

Same length of time as a supporter as myself, Swindonquin. Seen
all but a handful of home games in that time, and plenty of
memorable aways. Can you just imagine winning the Champions Cup,
to top it all off. To do so though, I feel that out defence
needs to improve a bit ( Tigers and Sarries were superb in this
respect on Saturday), and a bit more mobile grunt in the 2nd
       row.
Anyway, as you say, not a bad haul over 20 years, and the last 2
       seasons have been wonderful.

Bring back the Parker pen shield!
       But seriously I don
t believe we have any chance of champions cup for sometime,
especially with the recent salary cap reductions

So was making top 4 in 20/21 season after Gustard left, so was
coming back from 28-0 down in the semi final and so was the
total fairy-tale of the final......this is Quins, its what we
       do!
On one hand I jest, on the other, I've learnt never to be
dejected and defeatist as a Quins fan as magic runs in the teams
veins :) Just wish we would sign Harry Potter, he'd fit in well!

The Champions Cup is somewhat immune to fairy tales
unfortunately! You can win the league off the back of two great
performances as long as you're in touch by the final stages of
the season. But the CC is not a level playing field by any
measure, and we're likely to have to beat multiple sides far
stronger than Exeter and Bristol away from the comfy environment
       of English grounds (and HQ)...!

I agree that you have to beat multiple good sides and I don't
see us winning it any time soon, but I do think the current
format possibly makes it easier. Maybe it was just due to Covid
cancellations this year, but teams got through to the latter
stages with pretty poor records in the pool stages. The home and
away round of 16 gives you a chance to have a bad half and still
go through - as we really ought to have done. So think
qualifying for the 1/4s should still be very doable.
Obviously at that stage you then have to beat 3 good teams on
the bounce, but anyone can win a one-off game
As I say, I don't see us winning it, but I'm not sure it's all
that impossible. What would be much harder is sustaining a bid
to win the premiership and a european campaign in the same
season with a lower salary cap. You probably have to target one
       or the other

This year's cc was probably the 'easiest' it will get, beat
montpellier and I expect us to beat la rochelle at home, a not
so great leinster in the final.

Leinster were streets ahead of us even if they did lose the
final. Beating a 2nd string Montpellier side wouldn't have said
much about our chances against a full strength La Rochelle team.

Yes - we probably would have lost both, but I just mean that was
probably our best chance, however remote.
