I’m delighted for them to get the money.
What I’m not delighted about is being sent a glossy brochure
begging me for cash for something that the club says is its
vital heartwarming rugby-based empowerment programme - then
being told in the same week that the club is cutting the amount
of money it gives to it.
Does it care about this programme or not?

Yes of course - but therefore my cash is simply being used in
place of the club’s cash.
The club is saying “support this please” at the same time as
taking money away from it.

If I resold a ticket and got 50% I'm not fussed what the club do
with their 50%. However I can understand why some would be a
liitle annoyed with this.

The club/foundation will be launching a matchday raffle this
season also.

Glad the money is going to the academy as it’s the teams future,
and would rather it went there than anywhere, but fully
understand why people who have forked out their 250 feel a bit
aggrieved by the club cutting back their commitment from ticket
sales
That being said if I can’t make a game I just give my seat to a
mate so they can take a family member along who might not get to
many games and I know a good few who are now season ticket
holders who have been given a free ticket in the past enjoyed
the experience and didn’t want to miss out and joined

Maybe once we're making money it can go back to the way it was.

I am all for money going to the academy rather than the
foundation. I could not care less about the women's team. I am
all for anyone who plays sport at any level and fair play to
them for getting off their backside and doing something
worthwhile. I have watched a couple of games and I am just not
interested. If it is taking money from the club which lost over
6m last year and has a men's squad which is inadequate I would
far rather the money spent on the women';s team was used to pay
for better players for the men;'s team.
I rember last season when we were rubbish getting an e mail
asking me to renew my ST and goingn on about how wqell the
ladies team was doing. That does nothing for me whatsoever.

I don't think I've ever successfully resold a ticket as I
normally would give it to a mate or have tried to re-sell too
late in the day, but I did also think this was slightly taking
the mick when I got the email, after being asked to fork out
£250 for the foundation and being rewarded with a place in a
photo.
Clearly mixed feelings on this one. I'm happy for the money to
go to the academy, less so the womens team as it doesn't
interest me, but I accept that it does others. I just think the
timing on this is pretty poor.

The sooner rugby clubs and crucially the players get their heads
out of the clouds about the finances the better.
