From the article "that the former England flyer has signed up
with an Aussie agent to look for opportunities to further his
career" - missed a step as he should be signing up with an
immigration lawyer because the chances of getting a work visa is
zero.

I can't see him getting a Visa they are VERY strict in
Australia......
