You see no parallels between the somewhat cavalier method that

It's not related to Quins' style - it's just reminiscent of it.
Suddenly explode and do the unthinkable at an overwhelming pace,
scoring at a ridiculous rate.

I probably didn't make myself clear, as usual. I find the
suggestion that England were somehow following Quins example to
be crass. Culminating in "Johnny Bairstow doing a Marcus was
brilliant". I mean, seriously, pass the sick bag.

I don't see that suggestion at all - "reminded me of our win"
and "good to see a positive approach working in other sports".
Doing a Marcus is just pulling the rabbit out of the hat with
something extraordinary to win the game, no?

That's a stretch for a vomit. 🙂
Re. the Marcus comment, I'm sure he will go on to be regarded as
a "great" but he's not Phil Bennett yet. I felt the comparison
was a little insulting. I doubt JB would have been particularly
impressed.

Why are you insulted? Unless you are Marcus or Johnny or are
related to one of them what right do you have to be insulted?
Still, no one made you read it so feel free to not read it if
that makes you feel better.

about that run chase" it might help me understand where you're
coming from! :-)
I don't think there's any risk of JB reading this forum and it's
a little bit silly to call it insulting. Marcus made waves last
season for repeatedly pulling a rabbit out of the hat and
tearing teams apart with ball in hand. It's hardly an insulting
comparison just because Bairstow was playing a Test. It's also
just a throwaway comparison not a serious analysis of their
careers!
Anyway, perhaps Marcus should be insulted - Bairstow's hardly a
Test great either...

I wasn't insulted. I didn't say I was.
If someone called you a fool I'd consider that to be insulting.
But I wouldn't be insulted. :)

Ah my typing on a small screen is what has caused the
confusion...
Something slightly Quins like about the run chase.
Castore kit was just an observation, relevant with the
speculation that they may be doing our kit next season.
