It should certainly have been looked at. Trouble is you can't
see the connection so don't know if it's actually a punch or
not. If it was, then yes, of course it should've been cited.
Ditto the other skirmish he got involved in if there were
punches thrown there too (but I'm pretty sure that one was a
       shove instead).
It's not a Quins v Saracens thing, Yareet. I appreciate your
frustration in the last couple of days over the more partisan
nature of this board, but whataboutery does not change the fact
that Farrell punched Joe Marchant in the face in full view of
the AR, caught on camera, commented on at the time by many of
us, and wasn't cited for it. It's slightly bonkers that there
were no citings from that match at all.

Oh wow. Someone on Twitter's just pointed out what happens
there. Drag the bar slowly when looking at the replay and you'll
see it - Farrell has a swing at Northmore first, then Symons has
       a swing at him.

It looks like Symonds arm movements are from Faz throwing
punches and he clearly hits Northmore first. That’ll be two
punches hitting home from Faz and nothing done yet Andre only
has to push a fist into someone’s face whilst tussling and it’s
red and a ban. I notice that Maro does the thing where you grab
a players shirt collar and shove a fist into the face as if
you’re holding them at arms length. Joe gets told off for doing
       that in the past.

I don't think Farrell punches Northmore. He swings an arm around
but if you slow it down, his arm drops (Symons grabs it I
think?) and I think his hand lands (open) on Northmore's
shoulder. Symons then has a dig that could've been a punch (you
       can't tell).
He very clearly punched Marchant in the face, though. Absolutely
mad that got ignored. Just shameful stuff from the citing
commissioners that not a single citing came from that match - a
match with one punch to the face, potentially another from
Symons, a bunch of high tackles including one wildly out of
control one that KO'd the tackler and could've KO'd the other
       player too.

I’m just throwing this out there but do you think nothing will
happen because the authorities don’t want to “ruin” their show
piece final or an England tour? ………allegedly. Double standards?
Something isn’t right as the assistant ref is 2m away and seems
to be telling them to leave it. The eagle eyed TMO missed it
       too……or did they?

       I think you're spot on - it's a combination of "don't ruin the
playoffs", "end of season so it doesn't matter", and "don't mess
       up the tour".
I'd say in normal circumstances, Farrell would be cited for the
punch, and Lozowski and Walker cited for their upright tackles
       with major head contact.

No need to apologise. I'm genuinely not fussed (and full
disclosure, I haven't had a chance to watch this weekend's games
yet so I'm basing purely on social media). The nature of any fan
board is that it will be (should be?) partisan so I've only
taken it upon myself to be the voice of the non-Quins fans.
Appreciate that this is a completely unrequested role I've taken
but hopefully I can at least come across as reasonable!

I'm apologising because I don't want you to feel picked on or
targeted! I appreciate the non-Quns fan voice, you're a more
reasonable version of that than Maidstone Quins ;-)
You should definitely watch both games, really good contests
with a lot of "wtf???" moments and very obviously a step up from
non-knockout rugby. The Quins game was spiteful as hell and we
played a full part in that.

I'm starting to get grumpy now.
I was reconciled over the weekend to Saracens having been the
better side on the day, but to have the AR watch a punch happen
in front of him (he responds instantly to tell Faz to calm down)
and then not alert the ref and TMO to take a look at something
that could and should have been a game changer really hacks me
       off.
