If that's true, it's astonishing. The video clip is clear enough
that it definitely warranted at least investigation, even though
the AR waved it on on the pitch.

Carbonm - it is all last minute, but that's because of players
becoming unavailable.

Presumably it was investigated. Same as Symons on Farrell and
God knows how many other potential incidents.

OK, haven't seen the footage but there was all sorts going on in
that game and Symo has got away with a bit as well (even though
he's retiring) but I'm sure the players see it as part of the
game and March & Farrell will England's centre pairing so need
to get over it

I'm not really sure how they investigated it and decided no case
to answer. Farrell very clearly punches him straight in the
face.
As for Symons on Farrell, that's less clear, though I believe if
we could see a reverse angle it would show Symons throwing a
punch. The big swing that it looks like Symons makes is actually
Farrell swinging at Northmore, though! This thread has some
discussion on it:

Yeah, I've seen the discussion. I didn't see the
Farrell/Marchant incident but the citing officer will have had
more angles. I don't recall the commentators mentioning it -
they usually do.
My point was purely that if an incident isn't cited it doesn't
mean it hasn't been considered. Of course it doesn't mean it has
either.

I dunno how many more angles you need - that will definitely be
the best one (it's rare to have one that good, frankly)! It was
very clear at the time and it's just One Of Those Things that
makes zero sense to anyone.
The other scuffles and miscellaneous fracas would definitely
need more angles than available to the average punter of course.

Freeze framing it, it is very clearly a punch and very clearly
connects. I've pulled out the frames just before and just after
- you can see that it's Faz's arm, and you can see how much
Joe's head has moved between the frames. The only thing you
can't be 100% sure of is that it was a closed fist rather than
an open one, but from the angle of the arm it would be very hard
to argue it was an open hand.

Looks like the Quins player thumps Joe too. That's harsh.

You're being very silly now. This is very serious business.
