Could the days of the Twickenham Final be coming to an end?

An interesting idea. I can see the benefit of moving it around,
but if (when!) we make another final, I would miss the team
walking over from the Stoop.

There are few grounds that can accommodate the size of crowd,
also having watched rugby at football grounds the pitch is not
as large as Twickers. Frankly most people who go to the prem
final won't get near Twickers come the internationals. Be that
availability or cost for the international game, it is a great
stadium with 80k people in it and an experience not to be missed

Stupid if they do move from HQ. We’ve seen the struggle England
make to sell out less seats up north.
Neutral semi finals maybe could work, but no guarantee it would
as stadiums would need to be arranged well in advance so again
could fail If you end up with something like Sale in Brighton.

So long as Sarries lose I don’t care where it’s played!

I think the mooted move from Twickenham is very much the new guy
coming in with a load of half baked ideas that will not work.
Given you wouldn't be surprised to find the semi finalists were
Leicester, Saracens, Harlequins and Exeter? How rewarded are the
fans going to feel as they all schlep their way to Manchester or
where ever? They've run this idea in the past for England
playing up North, and how much additional interest has it
generated? If your national team can't generate a response, what
are two teams from London, one from the Midlands and one from
the West Country going to do?
I like that he's thinking outside the box, but this has been
tried and failed.

One of the things is that pretty much all major train lines run
as if spokes fro the hub that is London. Cross country travel
can be far more time consuming than traveling a longer distance
to London

Absolutely, he is a prize bullshitter. Two of his “established
moments” are Wimbledon and the Grand National. Not sure when
they are planning to move round the country to generate more
interest.
