They’ve beaten us on every occasion this season. I did not
expect a win and have thought we’ve not been right for a while,
we were good for 3rd and deserved it. But the two best teams
this season will contest the final.

I forget the number of times I said to my daughter we must come
away from here with some points which just did not happen, could
have been a different outcome if we managed to convert at least
half of them. Some good defence from Saracens but mostly loose
play from Quins as well as trying to force things too much. Very
disappointing team performance today but overall an enjoyable
season with lots to build on for the next campaign.
Jones has to take Cadan Murley to Australia.

The difference today was down to Sarries defence - yes we were
not clinical but they defended at a superior level to Quins and
deserved the win - cheering for Leicester in the final 😊

First half we were doing ok and Smith stitching up Farrell like
a kipper was priceless. Caden Murley truly outstanding
throughout and Andre big shift as ever. They gradually turned
the screw second half and the gusty wind did for a lot of our
kicks. Awful attempt at creating pre match atmosphere with
endless aggressive drumming. Pioneers were friendly and helpful
but have to say it’s a horrible bitty ground thank goodness we
       have the Stoop.

Yep. There were several occasions where we were putting them
under sustained pressure in their 22 only to come away with
nothing - often at stages of the game where 3pts would have been
       extremely useful.
The period of Walker’s yellow was critical. I was OK with us
going in 3pts down but the first couple of minutes of the second
half were criminal and really knocked the stuffing out of us.
And yet … we were still in the game until Lawday failed to
ground. Had we got that, I think we might have been able to pull
       it off.

To try and remove some of the disappointment from yesterdays
result can I remind everyone that Harlequins have to date won
the most dramatic and fantastic semi final and Premiership final
in rugby history. Credit to Exeter too for helping make the
final so brilliant. In general, rugby people and interested
casual spectators respect and admire our club for this and our
       way of playing.
Saracens can never achieve this. Their recent past and the
way the team and club have behaved and continue to do so makes
them unlikeable. I feel for their supporters as they have no
control over these things and it must be very difficult for
       them.
Are we all Tigers fans next week?

We were still in the game after that, until the 73rd minute when
Care failed to release the ball from the maul despite the
numeric advantage in the backs, and Vunipola got round and gave
them the scrum. A more significant error than Isiekwe
preventing Lawday from grounding the ball.

I only managed to follow the second half, and then on radio, but
pointing the finger at any one moment or player seems harsh.
I lost count of the times that normally reliable players dropped
the ball or made bad decisions, which was doubly frustrating as
it was clear that Quins were capable of creating the chances but
failing to finish them. It sounded like only Murley and possibly
Smith were playing to their normal levels.
Saracens clearly did a good job of disrupting our game plan,
probably by being consistently good at delaying the breakdown
and consistently good at taking away half a second on the ball
       in attack.
It was always going to be a tough game but Quins didn't have the
experience to finish thing s off against a tough defence, even
       with a man advantage.
Chalk it up to experience and move on. This squad is young and
will have learned from the game.

For me as a Saracens fan watching the game and the Harlequins
team I have to say attacking Flair can be a joy to watch.
For the Saracens yellow cards i always expect them to happen
when a defensive team plays against an attacking team, a lot of
the time the attack is so good the defensive players make
mistakes closing down the attack as soon as possible.
For the missed Harlequins 22 points I would think kicking a few
penalties would be more beneficial, you look more dangerous
attacking from a little deeper the team was a lot more dangerous
in the 22 to 10 with a more stretched out defence.
As for the over celebrations, that really is not for me, (back
in the days I played an occasional hand shake on try scoring was
about it) but it did seem an effective time wasting tactic when
we were down to 13 men. If Harlequins had upped the tempo when
we were down numbers it would have been painful.

It is a league based competition.
The 13 teams in the Premiership play each of the other 12 teams,
home and away. Giving a total of 24 games played by each team.
Leicester had beaten more teams than anyone else and had been
awarded more points than anyone else. The next team down in the
league were Saracens, they had got 7 points fewer than
Leicester. The next team down was Harlequins, we had 7 points
       fewer than Saracens.
We already have a result. We know who is 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
Why go through this farce of playing the top 4 against each
       other?
Plus, of course, it gives some people the opportunity to say
(naturally) how dirty, cheating, cynical, etc Saracens were.
       Abolish the playoffs.
       They don't count.
       We already have a winner.
