Yes but no internationals in our Sarries matches this season so
not like for like.

Was going to say, that we’ll win this because of our scrum
superiority, but then realised that we’re playing on that
plastic pitch. Does this type of surface nullify scrum
advantage?

But losing is losing, irrelevant if it was during an
international window or not. It's still a 4 game losing streak,
which I'm hoping we will break.
Anywho, im not interested in an argument today thank you for the
bait however.

Quins will have to treat it like a final and stop giving away
silly penalties - and if we are in touch with the score at half
time, we have a good chance.

Basics, basics, basics.
Scrum well (Collier or Wilco against Mako penalty machine)
whilst Koch struggles with Marler. Compete at the line-out
rather than trying to stop the maul and force them to kick from
1st phase there (shouldn't be a big issue, as they love doing
that). The big one for me is first up tackles have to be made
and stop the offloads.
Then it's up to the ref to watch out for the cheap shots from
them. Also, stay patient, don't try and force the offloads.
Nothing we can do about the surface so have to take it out of
the equation and a firm surface should suit our game.

I think it will come down to how the breakdown is refereed. If
we have a ref who polices bodies flopping over the ruck, sealing
off and hands on the floor, then I think Quins have a chance. If
it’s refereed like Tempest did on Saturday, then we’re stuffed.
Beyond that, Quins need to avoid giving away penalties. Our
defence is aggressive enough to shut down attacks but the price
for that is giving away breaks. We can usually cover them in
midfield, but play too many phases in our own 22 and Sarries
will score.
If we can do that, there’s a chance. We know that our attack can
score from anywhere, and our scrum should have the upper hand
(though the forecast is for decent weather, so not sure how many
scrums there will be). If it’s close (and we’re not on the wrong
side of the ref) in the last 20 then I’d bet on our ability to
score at the death.

On the basis that we surely can't get Carley or Tempest again
we've maybe got half a chance... But I suspect that they are
just a bit too streetwise and will strangle the life out of us
😢

They have over time showed they can stop us playing, and unless
this changes they will beat us comfortably. I would imagine they
will go into the game expecting us to play a certain way. Its
more a job for our coaches to surprise them and for us to go off
piste and taken them out of their comfort zone. But I would also
bring in a physco therapist to convince our players we can win
at Sarries.

I don't think the players need therapy!
