Don't think I can Rigoletto. The stakes are high and Glos are a
good team. But it is a must win game and surely the boys will be
pumped for this match? We need to play with the same intensity
as we did against Tigers plus have some good game management.
The players always say that the walk over from the Little Stoop
to the Big Stoop is amazing and gets them in the zone. Go and
cheer the boys on as they do the walkover?

How are the club being gung ho?

Harlequins last match was 29th April, 22 days without play by
       Saturday.
Gloucester’s last match was 6th May, 15 days without play by
       Saturday.
Both have some 'firing-up' to do.

Beach hats/shirts. Players doing promotions - all the
razzmatazz. Yes I know we need the money BUT we also need to win
       a rugby match.

Same could be said for the Big Game, is the promotion,
fireworks, bands and events all a distraction from actually
       playing rugby.
I think it helps to grow the brand and showcase our style of
rugby, if it was just 'were having a game at Twickenham Stadium,
tickets are on sale, no entertainment, no fireworks, no
advertising' would the club still get 70-80k tickets sold.
If you want to appeal to the mass public then you need to offer
more than 'watch the match' especially at time where peoples
disposable income is squeezed and tickets are getting more
       expensive. its all added value.
All in my opinion of course.

Big Game is NOT end of season.

The marketing team are totally different to the playing team.
The marketing side is based at The Stoop and the Playing side
       are based at Guildford.
I think that actions of the marketing team has absolutely no
impact on the way that the team are preparing for the game.
Videos - such as the shirt/hat photoshoot was probably filmed
weeks ago. Players won't be skipping training sessions to have
       ice creams, etc.

The Euromillions winner has just said on Sky news one of his
ambitions is to see Gloucester Rugby play live! Local guy also
wants to see England. Maybe he can get a ticket for Saturday!

If it is the guy/gal that won 180M the other day, he could buy
Gloucester rugby club, let alone a ticket. He could probably buy
       Bath RFC too!

So if we were 9th with no chance of a top 6 finish would you be
as unhappy as you come across to have the claimed distractions?
