HUW JONES WILL RETURN TO HIS FORMER CLUB GLASGOW THIS SUMMER
Harlequins can confirm that Scotland international Huw Jones
will return to Glasgow Warriors at the end of the current season
Arriving at The Stoop last summer from Glasgow, Jones will
return to his former Club ahead of the 2022/23 season following
       a one-season stint in Twickenham.
Making over 27 appearances in the Famous Quarters to date since
his debut off the bench against Newcastle Falcons in the opening
round of the Gallagher Premiership season, Jones, 28, has
stepped into multiple positions across the backline for Quins
during the current campaign, most recently slotting in at
fullback in place of the injured Tyrone Green.
Commenting on his move, Jones said: “While my time with
Harlequins has been a relatively short one, I’m immensely
grateful to have had the opportunity to play within this team.
This is a special group of players and staff and I’m looking
forward to playing my role in a Premiership title defence before
       returning to Glasgow.
“I’d like to thank everyone at Harlequins and the supporters for
welcoming me so warmly this season, I’ll always be proud of my
       time in this famous jersey.”
Harlequins Head Coach Tabai Matson said: “Huw has been a great
addition to the team this season. He’s put in the hours and
bought into the way we play and our ethos.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Huw finish the season and wish
him the absolute best as he returns to Scotland. He’ll play an
important role in our playoff run-in over the next month and I
know he’ll be keen to finish his time with Quins on a high.”

It's a shame, as I thought he's recently clicked into place in
the way we play. Best of luck to him (unless we play Glasgow in
       Europe!)

A slow start but a terrific finish once he settled in. he'll be
       missed.

Disappointing but not overly surprising. Top player but probably
on a fair wage. Just opens the door for others to step up

Shame, I’ve warmed to him and he’s put in some good performances
recently. Looking forward to seeing in our last four games
       😉
Anyone know what the timescale for Tyrone’s return is?

I've enjoyed his work at fullback. He does have flaws to his
game but they're not so much an issue at 15 which also helps to
emphasise his running and tackling breaking skills, and he's had
a great month or two for us as a pseudo Mike Brown (not a Green,
but no-one is). Mike wasn't the world's best passer either!
Nick David has shown some serious skills when given a chance so
I'm not worried from a squad perspective, but it's always sad to
lose someone who's worked so hard to turn things around given
       such an atrocious start.
It always felt like we were a short term gamble for him (and
vice versa) and it's worked out pretty well for both parties.
       So... well done everyone.

He has really played well at 15.
We do have some excellent young centers coming through the
system. It's definitely time to see them (Ayanwu, Hyde and
Beard) step up and challenge Marchant and Esterhauzan (both of
who we will probably lose to big parts of the season to
       international call ups.

Of a surprise and he will be a loss on recent form, think we
have enough not to miss home too much. It makes sense for his
       Int’l aspirations and our budget.
Still concerned no news on Wilco but as they say no news is good
       news. 🤞

Echo all the above. Slow start, vastly improved after a run of
games. Not a surprise to see him go, but he's turned out to be a
good short-term signing. All the best over the border

       Yep. Same here.
Hopefully he can go out on a high with a Premiership winners’
       medal. :)
