Lots of Saints players who probably won’t be involved in final
so could play Baa-Baas

Good shouts Fred & Monte, this does have a whiff of Baa Baa's
squad/looksie about it. Farrell & Manu have had no time with
Marcus since the autumn so makes sense to put those in but would
still expect Slade/March to tour. Arundel is purely to look at
and would be good against the Baa Baa's but touring would be a
stretch.
Lynagh is just getting more show time but would expect him to
tour over the others, as Eddie has put ore time into him and
Eddie would love to cap him in Oz, with the 'he'd rather play
for me than you' angle to it.
Would have expected Collier & Tiz, they should have been
selected for a look at least.

Unless the BaaBaas game is capped, Arundell is likely to tour -
Scotland could easily snap him up. Besides, he's hit the ground
running and genuinely could be worth a few minutes off the bench
at some point. The kid looks special.
Tizard won't get a chance while Ewels is still breathing, until
he stars alongside Itoje and then all bets are off. Far better
locks than Ewels have not been given a chance, sadly.

I suspect that Ewels is mightily relieved you're not Vlad
"Jammy" Putin...
There's a piece in todays Borisgraph about Hammond and Tizard -
I don't know how to do the Archive thing - no doubt Fearless can
post or perhaps some other form of netizen...

I read that and I still think ‘why is he leaving?’. Obviously we
know money had a lot to do with it, but if you can achieve your
career goals playing alongside the yin to your yang, I’d have
thought a short term cash injection would be less important (he
would have been on good money pretty quickly with us too).
It speaks a lot for our culture that we’ve not limited Tizard’s
game time. Not having Lamb available is definitely part of that,
but at the same time, it’s clear from the article that we’ve
been very mature about the whole situation. Still a massive
shame.
I’d still back Tizard as a possible tourist. This squad is
definitely more with the Barbarians game in mind and my hope is
that a bunch of our players are not included because a) they’re
nailed on tourists and b) we’ll be otherwise engaged on the
weekend of the Barbarians game :)

During the game last night Eddie appeared on the screen and
there appeared to be some booing from the crowd.

Maybe that was from a few Irish fans who'd heard that Eddie
asked Kidney if he could try Arundell out at flanker for a few
games.
