I agree. However, I'm forcing myself to go because I want to

You'd assume so, but maybe they looked at the fact they can sell
out the whole stadium for BG and didn't expect to struggle with
this one?
I believe they said initially that they were aiming to sell 60k
tickets, and they've not done 45k.

I was fairly sure that the original plan was for 50k.
Also, it isn't quite correct saying that they haven't done 45k.
They reported earlier this week that they had gone past 45k.
But, they went full marketing mode this week with adverts on
Spotify, etc.
But, if the weather is good, there could also be a fair number
of walk ups.
I think it will be a cracker.

Can’t do 60k if you don’t open the upper tier, afaik. Always
been 50k capacity using lower and middle.

You may be over estimating the number of seats in the upper tier
BB.
Twickenham has 82k seats, no way 32k (or 22k) of those are upper
tier.

Makes no difference what the capacity is, the council limits
attendance and looks like our licence is for a maximum 50k.

None of that adds up.
The match is a 50k capacity - always has been. The top tier
isn’t open.
There are 9k season ticket holders, a bunch of those may not be
able to make it as for any match. Two of our usual group aren’t
going.
However we only have two season tickets - but we’re going with
20 people.
And theyve nearly sold all of the 50k.

That is a fair point! I hadn't thought about the practicalities.
50k was in my head.
