The latest update on tickets sold that I've seen was on Tuesday
and it was over 45,000.

The closer we get, the more I ask myself if I can actually be
bothered to go!
Twickenham is inferior to the Stoop in every possible way even
when it's rammed, and with barely half of it sold it's going to
be even more dreadful than usual. 🤬

Take out the season ticket holders and you're down to 35,000.
Take out the Glaws supporters and you're down to about 6 people
and some pigeons.

I understand what youre saying.
But the club is strapped for cash after the last 2 years, and
45000 tickets is better than 15000 in a revenue situation

Is it?
Serious question, since...
1. They have to pay the RFU for the hire of the stadium.
2. The 45,000 includes us season ticket holders who aren't
paying anything extra.
3. Do they have to share the bar take with the RFU?
On top of that, we've still not qualified for the Semis. Slip
up tomorrow and we end up heading to Sandy Park potentiay
needing a result to progress. I'm pretty bloody certain that
missing out on the semis would more than undo any potential
financial benefit from tomorrow.

Quins wouldn’t be taking a huge risk based on loans to pay back
etc

Yes 36,000 odd who have paid and now the shirts and hats! Have
just listened to Mark Evans on Jim Hamilton’s podcast which was
enlightening talking about Prem and all things money wise in
English rugby and he reckons that we won’t see relegation back
anytime soon. But money has to go into Championship and we have
to reduce Prem to 26 games a season. The key is increasing tv
audience on free to air tv which translates into bums on seats.
He agrees with me madness to have Ealing Trailfinders as 14th
team so close by Irish and ourselves.

Agreed. It's hard to believe someone just said, "Sod the cost!
Lets play a game at Twickers!".
There's a reason they've done this and I suspect they may have
come to an arrangement with the RFU over the profits, although
that is speculation.

I am going to try really hard to not buy a shirt tomorrow.
It should be easy to do as long as I don't drink any beer.
I have an agreement with my mate. He will stop me from buying a
shirt as long as I stop him from buying a hat.
So, all we have to do tomorrow is avoid beer.
Anyway, I am meeting him at the pub tomorrow:-)
