Not sure if anyone else picked up on this or been mentioned
elsewhere but on Joe's rugby podcast with Dan Cole, he said that
he was dropped from the lineup for the Saints game (not rested!)
because he didn't turn up to training on the Monday and didn't
let anyone know.
I'm a big fan of Joe but a bit surprised at the irresponsibility
of it all when him starting really could have been the
difference in the end result.
Did anyone else see (or hear, rather) this?!

If that is true its disgraceful. Worrying that he thinks he is
bigger than the club, time to look for another loosehead ?

I don't see why it wouldn't be true, Joe said it himself and he
wasn't joking. No further insight into why he didn't turn up to
training.
I wouldn't go as far as getting rid of him as he's got a huge
amount of credit in the bank but at such a critical time of the
season I can't believe he let the club down like that. That move
has potentially now shaped the entire setup of the playoffs!

We probably will never know the whole story, so getting the
pitchforks out may be premature!!

Like I said, you dont know the full story and outcome other than
a little tit bit from Marler.

Well if it wasn't a trivial excuse why would he have been left
out? And if the majority of us did something similar in our jobs
we would be in some form of trouble.

I didnt say it wasnt trivial, I said you dont know the full
story and probably never will. So based on that I cant see how
we can then burn him at the stake. You have jumped to
conclusions (bigger than the club) based on not much.
