Twenty mins in and Sarries 13-0 up. Glos looking very average at
the moment.

Watched the build up and then turned off couldn’t stomach
Tomkins making out Sarries are innocent victims. Also odds on
they’d win at a canter.

Sarries completely dominated Gloucester but I’m not sure of the
relevance for the Summer Kick Off. Sarries played in a very
different way to Quins - battering Gloucester with aggressive
defence.
Billy making 20+ carries is indicative of their game.

I take your point, but I must admit to being a bit surprised at
how poor Glos ' handling was and how quickly they got on the
wrong side of the ref. As you say, the game at Big Stoop will be
a different beast, but on the evidence of this I'm not sure they
are a top four side. Watch them go and do it now, of course!

I wouldn’t read too much in to this result. Losing this game
doesn’t mean Gloucester are a bad side just as thumping Bath
doesn’t make them a brilliant side.
TBH, I’m not surprised Gloucester were out classed by a near
full strength Saracens side with experience of playing in knock
out games.
With all that said, we’ve had recent experience of high pressure
games and knock-out rugby (mostly coming out on the right side
of it). Perhaps that gives us an additional edge over Gloucester
for the Summer Kick Off.
