I like the look of that team. Not short on power. With Brown and
Horwill back we won't be short on leadership either.

happy to see Lang starting as I think his more structured game
is a better platform to establish a game, for Smith to then
spark from when he comes off the bench. Mulchrone vs Care is
where I might swap them over. Mulchrone's looked sharper in the
recent games.

Nice to see big Kev back, as I think our scrum works a lot
better with him in there.

purely because the three players are too similar. All graft
hard, but we're missing someone to jackal & contest at rucks.

JTH & GL, those were the days.. likewise glad to see a
consistent and potent centre partnership again!

Good team. Will be tough but that team gives me more confidence.
Welcome back James H and Mike.

I was thinking the same thing about Brown. He seems to have lost
an appearance since he made his 299th start for the club against

That was a phenomenal pairing when they were both fit. We never
really saw the best of them after 2012. A real shame that both
their careers were cut short by injury, and that Lowe in
particular never got a real chance to challenge for
international honours.
Marchant has the potential to be as good as Lowe; Tapuai looks
like a good partner for him and Saili ought to add a different
dimension. Lasike could be a direct replacement for JTH once
he's adapted fully to rugby. What we really need is some
consistency and stability to build a proper understanding and
attacking platform.

I'm probably going to regret saying this but I think on paper
we've got a stronger team/squad - especially given they've got a
couple of academy props on the bench - still we last won away in
about 1973 so I don't hold too much hope.

I've been very impressed with Poledri - our back row will need
to work hard to keep him quiet. Cipriani has been good when he
has time on the ball but Sarries shut him down completely last
week.
Our forwards need to come at this with some real fire to just
keep them on the back foot all game. Fortunately we have a pack
to do that if they all have their heads on right. Quins have got
to become more than the sum of their parts, and we have the
beating of plenty of teams.
