I was kinda hoping we'd play better than that during the run
in. It was bordering on shameful at times in the first half.
Let's hope that was something they needed to get out of their
system.

I dont like complaining about refs but the pen call they kicked
was just wrong. The pen at the breakdown at the end looked
wrong too. that’s two pretty big calls

One of those games where I think it's more than fair to blame
the result on the referee. Two closely matched teams. Great
attack, defence optional, fluffed chances on both sides.
Momentum swinging. Shouldn't be decided by an awful decision
then compounded by uncontested scrum nonsense.
He knew he'd lost it when trying to make himself look the big
man by threatening care with a red.
Oh well, 2 points will do. Plenty of opportunities to win that
but also could easily have lost by more.

He would have been if the Saints player had not hit the ground
(which means the tackle was completed) immediately before
Wallace went for the ball. But as Kay explained, Wallace had
been holding back for the tackle to complete.

If he was assistant tackler or assistant to the assistant or
what ever Carley wants to call it for then ok, but it is
frustrating to see Saints win penalties for the same thing.
There just appears to be no consistency.
