Something special going on at Harlequins (no announcement, just
gushing over the club)

Quins selling out every home game, outsold season tickets for
next season.
Quins played in the best final in any sport ever on the planet
in 2021.
Players are popular
ITV are showing the Twickenham game next month
Channel 4 got good viewing figures for the match against
Montpelier
BT loves Quins
Media loves Quins
Even the casual viewer who does not fully understand rugby get
that there is something special going on at Quins
New documentary on Amazon Prime on Friday
This feels like a massive difference compared to when I first
went to matches in the 90s and early 2000s. I am beaming at the
thought of Quins, I just hope this positivity and success
continues. Yes there are some grumblings, odd media person puts
the club down, not everyone is a fan of taking 2 games to HQ,
but overall Quins are in a good place and I am looking forward
to how they capitalise on it over the next few season and build
better when compared to 2012 and what happened after.

I agree with all of that. I'd add:
- Coaches are popular and the club is treating them well
- The academy is producing plenty of bright prospects
- Our recruitment of more senior players is the best it's ever
been
And of course "last season we played in a semi final that was
one of the best games of rugby in history"

Yes it's come a long way from the time I was told off for
cheering the team watching in the West Stand bar! The media seem
to have adopted "bear pit" as the description of the support in
the ground now! They use words like "rocking" and "noisy
support". It is great!!![emoji3]

And we now have our own verb "to Quin"
e.g. we Quin'd Bristol in the semi

But why the apostrophe. Shouldn't the past participle be
quinned? Would we not say "Don't worry about being 28 points
down, I can sense a quinning in the second half?"
