Quins are rather patchily represented in the Top 5 tables at the
moment -

But Murley deserves a big shout out for having quietly crept up
the scoring table. Given that the conditions are now favouring
backs in scoring, I'd not be surprised if he ends up topping the
table when the season ends, especially given Falcons have little
to play for and Irish have a bye week.

They're the same stats, just (mostly) divided by the number of
matches played.

I never understand why people who put these reports together
always use "per game" for stats which don't lend themselves.
Assists per game at .7 or .6 really don't tell you anywhere near
as much as minutes per assist - 60 minutes per assist is surely
more useful than .75 assists per game. 1.1 dominant tackles per
game?! 1.2 line breaks?
and what exactly does kicks from hand tell me? Whilst it's
useful info as to how a team plays, it's hardly something to
rank players on.
I'd also like a little more insight with stats like "ball
carries per game" - how about minutes per carry in possession?
If you never have the ball you are going to struggle to carry,
but might arrive at lots of defensive breakdowns.
Interesting also that you need 640 minutes to make the top
stats, but only 12 kicks at goal...having said that, what the
hell are Marcus' stats?! Surely he hasn't missed a quarter of
his kicks?
Rugby is absolutely crying out for somebody to actually put
together some really interesting stats. I wish they would,
especially given the prohibitive cost of Opta. Some of the
pointless nonsense BT come out with makes me want to weep.
