You wonder when some people might understand that the long term
supporters actually like “ Their seat” sitting with their mates,
visiting the pubs near the grounds to catch up their friends ,
and even when the results aren’t great will still keep turning
up and supporting their team

Sarries use Tottenhams’ new ground. London Irish are still
building their home support so don’t need another venue to be
out supported by the opposition 😉.

have large enough grounds that there would be no point in trying
new areas leaving Bath and Exeter (probably Bath) but where?
(not Wales as that seems a bit wrong in trying to expand the
English game). Northampton seem to have a large enough support
in North Norfolk so could see them moving a game from the 15k
Franklins Gardens to the 27k Carrow Road (maybe against
Leicester). Worcester, Newcastle and Sale have small stadiums
but have a lot of competition from football (and the latter two
from League) but I believe Newcastle have had at least one
successful game held at St James’ Park.

appeal to the North for the England World Cup with numerous
players being played from the region (most notably in Burgess)
and one game being played in Manchester (Samoa?) so not new.

Newcastle played at St James’ Park a couple of years ago.
Goneva gave a Shearer celebration when he scored.
Around 15 years ago, we tried a game at Bolton’s ground. I’m not
sure it was a huge success; not least because much of our
support had traditionally come from Cheshire and South
Manchester.

As we have shown the occasional 'Big Game' will work, but it
needs to be reasonably local to build the local support as well
as attract the regulars (season ticket holders and others).
Large numbers of them will be counter productive as the number
of 'casual' supporter should will become saturated. Also moving
out of area is of little value if here is no product provided on
an ongoing basis.
