Best/favourite Quins tries

In light of the Care-Smith-Murley-Marchant masterpiece on
Saturday, I thought a thread on the best Quins tries you've seen
might be fun.
I can't remember anything better, but a personal favourite was a
Nick Evans solo score at home against Gloucester, quite early in
his Quins career, which involved pretty much the full-house of
rugby's running skills - swerve, side-step, dummy, burst of
acceleration, and I think it even had a hand-off somewhere as
well.
It does feel like we see something spectacular almost every
match at the moment.

Many great recent ones but Will Greenwood in Brive in 2001 is a
particular favourite.

In no particular order:
- The Collier sidestep
- Marchant’s salmon leap (all the sweeter for being against
Saracens)
- The 14 man rolling maul that got us into the 2012 Final
- Robshaw’s casual jog back along the line in the 2012 Final
- All the tries in the semi-final last year, but especially
James Chisholm’s first touch
- Smith vs Umaga vs Wasps last year
- Smith’s match winner at the death vs London Irish last year
- Lynagh’s try in the final, as much for the the way the crappy
pass and Smith’s step seemed to mesmerise the Exeter defence as
for anything else.
But at the moment we’re spoilt for choice. In the last 15 months
there have been dozens of candidates.

Yes, I was saying to people during and after the match, that
that’s the best try I think I’ve witnessed at the Stoop ( ST
Holder 20 years).
For pure emotion and significance I’ll reference the pushover
tries v Saints in the play off semi, and doing the same to
Sarries, 4 or 5 years ago, in the dying minutes.
Good shout for Nick Evans v Glous. I have never seen such
breathtaking speed off the mark.

As soon as Care kept the ball in and we went on to score I
immediately remembered the Matt hopper try against Clermont. DC
took a quick penalty and the ball goes out wide Robshaw boots
the ball and it is heading to touch but Care dives and flicks
the ball back and Hopper is there to catch the ball and score.
Another one that brings back happy memories because it was a
late winner is Gonzalo Camacho in the cup final in Cardiff.

Esterhuizens in the final last year was a thing of beauty.
Off load, tempo, support play.

If by salmon leap you mean Marchant’s try from the failed kick
at goal, I’d agree wholeheartedly. It is a rare occasion of a
try which I don’t believe I have ever seen anything like before
(40 years of watching rugby) or since.

Erm, Ross chis scored one against glaws, Wallace offload vs Bath
in the tinpot semi, guest down the wing off the lineout at sandy
Park, Smith's chip through last season - to be honest there have
been about 10 worldies in the last couple of years.
