especially not with Dombrandt ahead of him - but he's likely to
get more first team game time given the heavy reliance we're
currently placing on Lawday and as Baby Chis and Wallace draw
closer to the end of their careers. The management clearly rate
him enough to hang onto him.

Agreed. Prior to this season, I’d always been critical of Archie
and I didn’t think he was good enough for the Premiership, but
I’m more than happy to say he’s proved me wrong.
He’s unlikely to be a regular starter, but as a reliable and
committed squad player who is Quins through and through, I’m
pleased he’s re-signed.

Yeah, like this one, we're really building a good set of back
row options and challenge in all 3 positions which can only bode
well.
I wonder if Jess Breach was a consideration in this as well
though. If Archie went and started playing at Bath or somewhere,
would that then tempt her away to Bristol. It shouldn't matter
but I do wonder in this day and age. That said, I'd have kept
him if he was dating a non Quins player.

I didn't know about his relationship with Jess - good luck to
them!
Very pleased to have him staying. I thought he stepped up a
level after Gustard left and has been a very reliable option
ever since. He has grown in skill, confidence and game
management.
After Robshaw left we were all gulping and tugging at our collar
about the back row. Things look much better now. They will look
even bettererer when WEv is ready to play Prem/Europe and Chis
returns to fitness. I hope he can shake off whatever is causing
him to struggle, he is a fantastic and powerful player.

Don't forget Kenningham. Once he's back our back row options are
among the betterererest in the league.

Yep! He is the bestest for me! I am gutted that he will be out
until next season. Honorable mention to Lawday who is in such
great form. (The formestest?)
Dino Lamb returning before the season ends would be a real bonus
for second row and blindside options!
