There is some fascination in that question. Undoubtedly the main
Euro cup is the more prestigious competition yet for my own
enjoyment my gut tells me I'd prefer us to win the prem again.

Winning Europe would be great but I have not truly been
interested in European rugby for a long time now. In the Deano
years it felt a more egalitarian competition; these days it's
dominated by a handful of sides and there's a lot of really
one-sided and/or poor matches, and compared to the honestly
pretty consistently entertaining Premiership (which might be
lower in outright quality, but a better watch a lot of the time)
it just seems like something that's getting in the way.

Winning Europe is a step up from the premiership so if we could,
I'd like to see us win that. However, we were 4th in the table
last year, When we're consistently first we can worry about
Europe, until then the realistic aim is top 4 and another
premiership win.

This sums up my own thoughts on the Prem albeit with the slight
additional comment that I find losing international players
during AI/6N windows to be an unwelcome burden of success

I'd certainly pick domestic honours above European titles at
this stage. Build our stock a bit more. Plus, realistically
getting to Twickenham will be a lot cheaper and easier than
Marseille!

I don't see it as an either/or question. I want us to get to the
knockout stages of every competition we're in. Thereafter it
depends a lot on the fortunes of the day but I'll celebrate
whatever the boys achieve.

Remember although do denigrate it, we have won the Challenge Cup
on three occasions, and the teams we beat to win it were first
rate. So the Heineken would be a step up not a massive leap.

I disagree. Consistently topping the Prem table isn't a
realistic or sensible ambition, and it's certainly not a
prerequisite for success in Europe. Wasps and Sarries have won
the Prem Final more times than they've topped the table, and
while Tigers have 10 1st places and 10 titles, they've won it
from 2nd place a couple of times.
Sarries did one of their European doubles from 2nd in the Prem
table, and have only won the Prem title from 1st in the table
once.
The point of the playoff system is to give teams a bit of leeway
to stay live in multiple competitions as well as to allow for
international absences.
I'd like to see Quins competing in the latter stages of the
Champions Cup. This season, I'd settle for a semi-final - it's a
tough comp and we've never gone that far before - but it's the
one trophy the club has never won.
Whether we continue to fight on two fronts or concentrate on one
is another question, but that will play out over the next couple
of weeks depending on results.

I think it will be hard to put anything but our best available
squad out for games from now till the end of the season, some
clever rotation on the bench and their timely use will be key.
I�m not sure I can pick between prem and Europe I want to win
both. We�re capable we need a good mix of our skill and some
luck along the way.
