It's sad that the press have made such an issue out of this. I
originally asked for 200 as I do for every game, demand went
through the roof and we ended up with 1000, mainly as they had
the space to accommodate which no other club can do. We will do
the same again next year, but people can choose to sit anywhere,
this is rugby and why we love it.

I think as long as there's no compulsion to sit in "away" type
blocks and it's fine for home supporters to buy tickets there if
they want, then that's fine. At the Stoop we already sit in
blocks of STHs. Blocks FD, FE, FF, AE are de facto Harlequins
supporters blocks - if the away supporters bought every spare
seat they'd still be significantly outnumbered. That can be a
shame as a bit of craic with opposition supporters is one of the
best experiences this game offers. I remember fondly the last
time I visited Welford Road having a great time chatting to a
Tigers supporter of many years. But I like the approach QUINSSA
has of offering a block of tickets "if you're interested", that
would make away travel less daunting for some.

Exactly that. We are strongly against a single "away area". We
will offer seats to those who want to join us, but also
appreciate others want to choose where they sit. We were offered
exactly the same deal as the Barnet club, difference is that
they sold 180 and we sold 1000. From our big block it was great
to see support all around the stadium, long may it continue!

Quite amusing on the Chiefs board they are emphatically against
away blocks/stands - they didn’t say that when we had their code
for the final at the Big Stoop!😄🤣 They said if
they found any Quins fans they would throw us out! And all we
wanted to do was mix with them
