Offy lists Tiz as being only 6'4", but heights and weights are
notoriously inaccurate. He's not noticeably shorter than
Dombrandt (who's usually listed as 6'5"), Lewies (6'6") or
Symons (6'7" - but I would have had him as shorter than Lewies).
There aren't many pictures of him alongside people who offer a
good comparison - but I did find this one:

It's not a great pic, but
Andre is fairly consistently listed as being 6'4" and Tiz is
visibly taller than him, so I would put him at at least 6'6",
which is the same height that England lists Kruis as being.
So I don't think he'd be noticeably short alongside Itoje, and
their skill sets are a bit different.

Glen Young next to him who is allegedly 6'6 / 6'7. Doesn't look
like there's much in it. Besides, Itoje's extreme athleticism
makes up for his relative lack of height and he'd be the shorter
of the pair. Isiekwe might well play 6 too.
As poorfour says, listed heights (and weights) are really hard
to trust. Wikipedia and the offy often disagree by 2-3 inches.
Will have to keep an eye out next time he's packing down at a
scrum.

I disagree. What would Tizard get from helping a team he doesn't
play for yet, win a match/trophy?! He wouldn't get a medal! He
would get a medal if he wins with Quins though, the team he
currently plays for.
If he's fit and on form he should play every game he's available
for, for the rest of the season.

Doesn't that depend on whether a house from Nigel Wray is worth
more to him than a possible winner's medal? There'll probably be
a day or two somewhere where he's out of contract with us and
not yet contracted to Sarries where they can slip it in... ;-)
More seriously, it'll be down to the coaching staff. If they
think his head is in the right place to give his all against his
new team, and he's also playing better than his in-squad
competition for the shirt, I'd be happy for them to play him.
But I'd equally understand if they didn't.

My point was that with the comparative strength we have at lock
currently might it be better to remove any doubt about where his
head is at the time. I am sure the coaching staff will be
checking and have faith in them; my concern is those behind
keyboards if events don't go ideally.

We definitely shouldn't be worrying about online trolls when
selecting players for a match!

He appears to be improving constantly - his head seems to be in
a great place. Play him continually!

Yeah I think I'd play him unless Dino as cover if he's back to
get minutes. I don't think he'll do a Botica against Sarries as
I think he'll want to show Isikwe and Co what the competition
looks like next season and he'll give the French/Irish locks
nightmares in Europe.

I'd rather Tiz is doing his convincing Brodie Retallick
impression n the quarters no matter who we face until he goes to
Barnet to do it. I doubt he'd do a Botica, that's not the
current vibe.
