I'm in Paris at the la Défense Arena for the Paris derby: Racing
v Stade Français. I'll report back on the experience but first
impression is that the stadium is something else

No, used a lot for concerts and other events too. It is Racing's
home ground though.

I'm not sure it's for Quins. Permanently covered, so artificial
pitch. And no fans at the far end. Still, the closed roof makes
for an atmosphere. That and the band playing!
15-13 at half time. Not a bad match but it looks like what it
is: two mid- table sides.

Apparently not, I'm told by the locals.
Finished 53-20! But oddly passionless for a derby. No handbags.
Racing took their chances and has a bit of luck with the bounce
of the ball but Stade really imploded.

The stadium can hold 30000 but the upper tier wasn't open and
the lower not full. Maybe 12000 attendance. Not so many for a
derby. Tickets not expensive - cheapest were €10 but they sold
out so I paid €20 behind the posts. Food - burger €7, chips €4
and €7 for 40cl of Carlsberg!

No wonder if was empty...... I think you'd have had more fun and
it would have been far cheaper at Brentford......
