As I say, there isn’t a problem. It just seems like a) it
doesn’t make massive amounts of money as the stadium isn’t fully
open and b) it doesn’t do anything for the future of rugby,
which raises the question of how long it remains worth hosting
it.

What sort of "vision" turns down free cash? To me it's like the
Army/Navy. I have no affiliation to either so why would I
bother. But if other people do and generate money that the RFU
then uses to promote rugby, I can't say I have a problem with
the fixture.

No quite. It is mostly harmless and I don’t have a problem with
it existing, but they are really the only things that the RFU
hosts beyond England games.
It just seems a shame that the only “accessible” rugby events at
HQ make the world seem like nothing has changed since about
1950.
