At a guess I’d say Quins fans outnumbered Irish fans but maybe
based on the noise we were making !

If the pubs and trains were anything to go by we massively
outnumbered them. I doubt most of the Irish regulars live in
Kew.

From the West stand it sounded like a home game most of the

Overhead a couple of Irish fans in the queue for the bar saying
"normally I'd assume that massive cheer means we've done
something good, but this game I think it's probably quins".
Was nice after the last couple of years to see all the local
pubs so busy.

One think I would say is that the acoustics at the stadium are
not brilliant.
I was sitting in the west stand. We could see (and hear) the
Quins block in the North stand shouting and singing - but, the
sound didn't carry very well. Likewise, the Irish drums. The
sound didn't carry either.
It sounded like there was a big group of Quins fans making a lot
of noise in the North West corner too.
But, it looked as though the noise made an impact on the
players. They seemed to like playing in front of that block of
fans.

Looking at the fixtures, this round is absolutely key to the
play-off race.
I’m not sure on their injury situation but Exeter have the
toughest game and if they don’t beat Saracens, I think 4th
starts to look difficult as I’d fancy Gloucester and Saints to
win. If Exeter can fashion a win, I’d agree that they look like
a possible banana skin side in the play-offs.
Losing Biggar and Lawes is a big blow for Saints, but they
should still have enough to beat Bath IMO.
It’s less of a ‘must-win’ for us this round but given that we
only have our eggs in the one basket now, I think we’ll want to
bounce-back after going out of the Champions Cup. After that,
it’s Saints away which (as mentioned above) has just got a bit
easier. A win or two and the play-offs are probably confirmed.
I’ll be curious to see what Tigers do. A top 2 place is pretty
much guaranteed so I think they may well rest players where they
can (they have a fair few injuries and suspensions to think
about too) and prioritise their QF with Leinster. Equally, of
their remaining fixtures, Quins at the Stoop is the toughest on
paper. Maybe they go close to full strength for us and then rest
vs. Bristol (H), Newcastle (A) and Wasps (H)?

I think Tigers’ selection will be determined by the playing
schedule (they have 3 games in 10 days and 4 in 17, with the
last being Leinster).
My guess is that Borthwick will be trying not to risk anyone
who’s not 100% to give himself the best chance of a strong squad
for Leinster, but he’ll have to balance that against having two
squads with limited overlap. With a couple of red cards to deal
with as well, it’s hard to guess what they might put out.
That said, we were a missed penalty away from drawing with them
at Welford Road, and at home in conditions that will probably
favour Quins it could be a different game, especially if we can
avoid being drawn into an arm wrestle.
Exeter are going to throw everything at Saints, and whichever
way that game goes they are likely to be a bit depleted when we
visit them, which I think is good for Quins’ chances.
Gloucester at HQ still feels like the most likely win; this
squad has a great record over the road and rises to the
occasion. Exeter at Sandy Park is always a tough ask, but it
might be a bit easier if they have nothing to play for.
Realistically, I think Quins are pretty secure in 3rd but it
would probably take a slip-up by Saracens to get into second.

I'm hoping for two things - home wins for Bristol, Bath and
Quins (+BP) and an away win, low scoring but scores separated by
8pts, for Exe...
