Given the Leicester pre-season game is on that weekend, why not
have the event after the match?

Well - I understand that you have a choice but I don’t get the
negativity.
It may be impractical to arrange before/after a match as members
or non-members may be present that wouldn’t get the free ticket
and it will be difficult to separate - you can’t get 3000 people
into the bars, so only option is outside ir spread through all
the bars. Imagine if they said everyone that did it have the
ticket had to leave early - many on here would moan about that
too.
It’s in summer and many could take a half day.
Having said that, it will probably rain…

I may have a bad migraine on that day and need to stop away from
my work PC for a few hours.

Spot on, just don’t see why it has to be midweek
Also consider myself fairly active when it comes to supporting
the team, but a mid week daytime event doesn’t make sense, even
remember when we had the Sunday pre season event to welcome new
players and plenty attended s it was on a weekend
Not being negative just thinking there are better times than a
weekday

Don't care what day of the week it is, it's good of the club to
do this.
I didn't donate with the expectation of having anything in
return (event, name on wall or special badge) I donated because
I felt I was able too.

I remember a few years back they did something before a
pre-season game for ST holders much more convenient. I donated
but am not doing my usual rugby commute for this, if the game
followed then more than likely.

I agree, I donated just because I could and didn't want my club
to fold. Understand others weren't in that position. I didn't
expect anything in return.
I do think though, now that club has decided to recognise donors
(sorry, donators in millennial speak) they should arrange on a
date that would enable as many that want to attend it, to be
able to, and a Wednesday afternoon isn't it.

I think which ever day they had chosen would have met with some
resistance. I don’t think match days would work so that would
leave a Sunday or on a weekend end earlier in the summer when
there was no game on a Saturday…

Given it's pre-season, is it possible the team have better
things to do at the weekend in the only decent time they get off
in the year?
