MORE THAN 3,000 MEMBERS WILL BE INVITED TO AN EXCLUSIVE EVENT AT
THE STOOP
The Club are delighted to announce an exclusive pre-season event
at The Stoop to thank Season Ticket Members who kindly donated a
portion of their Membership fee to support during the Covid-19
pandemic.
During the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, as the Club tried to
bridge almost 18 months with no income from matchdays at The
Stoop, Season Ticket Members were asked how they wanted to split
the value of their Membership for matches missed as they were
played behind closed doors. We were blown away by the response
with over 3,000 Members feeling able to donate to the Club
during that critical time, despite their personal challenges.
It has long been our intention to show our full appreciation for
their support and, as Covid-19 restrictions ease, we are now in
a position to do so at an exclusive summer event at The Stoop
ahead of our home pre-season friendly against Leinster Rugby two
days later.
Season Ticket Member Donator Thank You Event
Wednesday 31 August 2022, 12:00-16:00
The Stoop
Donators will also be offered a free ticket to attend the
pre-season Friendly against Leinster (on Friday 2 September,
kick-off 19:30). Note that all 2022/23 Season Ticket Members can
attend this as part of their Membership.
"These past two years have been the most challenging in our
156-year history," said CEO Laurie Dalrymple.
"However through the support of so many involved with the Club,
we have been able to move through this incredibly difficult
period and begin our recovery. The generous support of those who
donated to the Club has been incredible to see and is something
that will live forever in our memory. We are delighted to now be
in a position to thank you in person and hope as many of you can
join us for what is set to be a great day behind-the-scenes.
"We of course understand that not all our Season Ticket Members
were in a position to support us financially and we would like
to again express our gratitude to all our Members, no matter how
they have supported the Club. We can’t wait to see you all again
next season."
The event will only be open to Season Ticket Members from the
2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons and will not be available to guests
to ensure it is a personal and exclusive experience with our
players and coaches.
Further details and an RSVP invitation will be sent to our
donators towards the end of the season.

Pedant alert- shouldn't we be referred to as donors and not
donators?

I don't see why. It's a perfectly cromulent word.

I think that a donor is someone who gives away something that is
very close to them - (e.g. if you were to give away your kebab)

...not sure one donates a kebab, unless that's a euphemism?
Nice idea, shame about the time.

Yeah, nice idea but a midweek afternoon? I can't see there being
a huge uptake for this.

Don’t you get paid holidays?
Do you ever take time off to go and watch Quins abroad?
Perhaps some of you thought that the club would pay for you to
go to a lap dancing club with free drinks?
Some peoples idea of support is frankly a little off-key…

To be honest, you would have to be a diehard (and I count myself
quite a devout supporter) fan, to give up a day's leave to go to
this event. For most, it just wont be convenient. Given the
Leicester pre-season game is on that weekend, why not have the
event after the match?

Before I decide could I ask what drinks are free at the
lap-dancing club?
