It’s safe to say EJ is not getting the sack and the RFU are
supporting him.
RFU remind me of the ECB. Utterly backwards and a sense of
elitism with priorities in all the wrong areas.
This feels very much like the ECB backing Silverwood before the
ashes. I’m expecting the equivalent result at the RWC.

I think the biggest problem is that Eddie doesn't give a stuff
about the 6N. He's not bothered about beating Wales or Ireland,
he's just focused on the big 2 in WC tournaments.
He fails to understand that although we, as fans, want to win a
WC, local tribal bragging rights are important to us and rightly
or wrongly, it hurts more losing to Scotland than it does NZ or
SA.
It's too late now for him to get his head around it so next 6N
will be mildly better but get through that and the WC and start
afresh, as it looks like that will be the case.

If England get to the RWC Final does this not mean that he has
achieved this feat more than any other coach in history? Could
that be affecting his decisions?

I think Eddie went into Arsène Wenger mode after the WC defeat
in 2019. Started to get obsessed with philosophies of playing
and so on and less about the actual day job of selecting the
best squad for England to win rugby matches. That and I
genuinely think he enjoys winding the press up. He's not
bothered about the fans.
