RFU, Plan?????? Great one quinton....
Not understanding this love affair in the media for Andy
Farrell. Even if we ignore the part he played in the toxic
nature of 2015, why does everyone pressume he'd take England to
the next to level?
At Ireland, he has centrally contracted players who play minimal
game time for the clubs outside of European competition and he
can pick 12 or 13 from one province and play to their style,
he'll never get that with England.
Still, this is the same media that has stayed quiet about Jones'
bizarre selection criteria until its so bloody obvious and now
they're coming across like all seeing oracle's....

It never works. It also relies on literally everyone else making
an effort to ignore one person, when dealing with one person
would be much easier.

It's not much of an effort for people to just ignore it and
don't comment on it, you don't need to go to the lengths of the
ignore list though that does make a better experience as they're
not there to be read!
Agree entirely on the bolded section, I can't understand why
it's not been done

I think we should all follow your example and not reference him.
Well not more than your three references this thread (so far)
anyway!

Asking everyone to ignore trolls all the time is unsustainable.
It really has never worked anywhere, and the people who say
"just ignore them" have never had to moderate forums or social
media - and are just putting the blame on entirely the wrong
people.

I'm in awe of your knowledge of all forums everywhere Jammy and
I'm sure you've something to back that up so that we can fully
appreciate the power of your all seeing eye ;)

I find that it comes up as blocked then someone replies to it
and you end up reading it anyway

Okay. I've moderated a number of forums over the years, and have
participated in many more, including some of the largest by
volume at the time. They were heavily moderated because unless
you have a commitment to letting anyone say anything,
4chan-style, or explicitly allow it in certain ways but with
clearly demarcated lines that cannot be crossed (a la original
Something Awful forums) then a single troll can ruin the
experience for multiple people and you're asking those people to
adhere to a code of conduct that doesn't apply to the troll.
But hey, the proof is in the pudding: you're telling people to
ignore bish, who has been on the various incarnations of this
board for quite a long time, with the same sentiment expressed
over and over. Did it work? No. Does it ever? Vanishingly
rarely.
All it takes is one person to engage in good faith - which is
not their fault - and the whole thing falls apart.
