SANTIAGO GARCIA BOTTA SET TO MAKE 50TH APPEARANCE FOR QUINS
       Thursday, 17th March 2022 @ 12:00
HARLEQUINS NAME MATCHDAY SQUAD FOR LONDON DERBY
Harlequins' coaching group have made a whole host of changes to
the starting XV ahead of Friday's Premiership Cup fixture
       against neighbours London Irish.
Loosehead prop Santiago Garcia is set to make his 50th
appearance in the Famous Quarters having joined the Club in
2019. Botta is joined by Sam Riley and Mak Wilson in the
front-row with the latter set to make his first start for Quins.
Flanker Will Evans will make his first appearance for Harlequins
since suffering a long-term injury eleven months ago against
Friday's opponents London Irish. After a period of time with
England 7s, academy player Will Trenholm will make his
competitive debut for Quins wearing the number six shirt.

In the backline Scott Steele will captain the side at scrum-half
whilst Ross Chisholm starts at fly-half with Will Edwards moving
back to full-back. After impressing on loan at Richmond RFC
throughout the season, Lennox Anyanwu slots into the twelve
shirt and is joined in the centres by the in-form Oscar Beard.

On the wing, Hayden Hyde is also set to start his first game for
the side from South West London after impressing alongside
Trenholm in Spain with the England 7s squad.
Scrum Coach Adam Jones said: “A lot of the lads picked haven't
had much game time in our last block of games so it will be
great to see them get valuable minutes. We know how important it
is going to be for these lads to be sharp and ready to go as we
enter the back end of the season. The squad have trained and
prepared really well so it's a fixture we're all looking forward
       to.

“The last two seasons have been difficult for some of the boys
as they haven't had the chance to run out and play when they
couldn't go out on loan to Championship clubs or play in
competitons like the Premiership Cup. Tommorow night is a London
derby and I'm sure there will be a good crowd and the players
are all chomping at the bit.”

Congrats to SGB for his 50th appearance. But for me the big

Great to see Will Evans back,
Strange to have Ross Chisholm at 10 and Will Edwards at 15

I suspect Eddie Jones has had a word saying he sees Ross as the
       answer to England's fly-half problems.

Probably viewing Edwards as a potential option at FB now given
Tyrone may be missing a bit of action now.
Will this game be on PRTV?
Assuming it won't be BT but hopefully I'm wrong

I believe the only game BT are showing this weekend in this comp
is Newcastle v The Little Cheats tomorrow night.

Or sees Edwards as full back replacement for Steward

Interesting Edwards is at FB, but for me in a more meaningful
match it has to be David for me.

Two hookers on the bench, and still no CSW...
