The only team who haven't beaten Bristol this season is Sale, as
far as I can see.
I don't think it's wrong to moan if you think your team is
underperforming. As long as you don't go mental.

Not allowed to do anything. When you're on the floor, you're out

Underperforming by winning 4 games on the trot? And picking up
BPs? Whilst 4 of our players are with England and at least 2
others are away most of the week. Just weird to me, sorry.
Doesn’t mean I’m right and you’re wrong, just cannot understand
that perspective.

Drifting into the PRTV commentator debate. I listened on BBC
Bristol, Coochie was brilliant and even dropped in the most
polite "bloody" I have ever heard. Better than most of the
pundits on BT or the terrestrials.

I tuned in expecting a lot of ‘one-eyedness’ but was pleasantly
surprised, particularly by Coochie who I thought was very fair.

Just got back. Deserved five points from a really good game of
rugby. Only thing I think you can really complain about is some
of the first up tackling. Other than that, we played very well
against a Bristol side that also gave us some problems in broken
field play. Also thought they played quite well; if a side like
that can be 10th in the league, it speaks for the quality of the
competition. Made for a great contest.
Lewies and Tizard were absolutely colossal, as was Lawday. Steph
was all over their lineout ball all day and was a nuisance at
ruck time. Edwards ran things really well too and deserves a
mention. He’s a 60% goal kicker where 80% is what good looks
like but his ability to nail the hard ones implies it might be
something he can work on and then continue to be good at. He
runs the attack well and has an eye for a gap, so much so that
so far, the 60% conversion rate hasn’t mattered. Couldn’t really
ask for more.
Hopefully the injury to Tyrone isn’t as bad as it looked. We
missed him back there. His 2000 ish metres is 700 more than
anyone else has made this year and he’ll likely be atop that
chart when the season ends. Nick David is the logical
understudy. I’d prefer Lynagh at wing, I think, although he was
reasonable today in tough conditions.
Results went our way this weekend meaning our destiny is
entirely within our hands, the likely destination being a tie
with Saracens in the semis should we win 3/5 games and if we win
4 or 5, we would likely host them.
3 weeks before we play again in the Gallagher, so should see
Marcus, Dommers, March and Marler back alongside hopefully some
fit again players like J-Chis and maybe even Will Evans. With
our strongest squad back, a home semi should be a reasonable
target.
Also, Danny Care's Try to Sin-Bin Ratio this year is now 5:4.
Absolutely needs to be worked on. Might start a thread to keep
track of this. He's our beating heart, but that's three in a row
and it's getting to be a problem. Better teams will punish us.

Results going our way this weekend could turn out to be
critical. We don’t play again in the league until 3rd April
(Irish away) and by then we should have Smith, Dombrandt, Marler
and Marchant back as well as hopefully WEv and Chisholm.
We’ll definitely miss Green. However, a lot of us thought losing
Brown was going to drastically alter our chances for the run-in
last season and it didn’t turn out that way. Perhaps the stage
is set for David to be this season’s Green? Worth pointing out
that the majority of Huw Jones’ appearances last season were at
15. I’m not sure I’d want to see him there, but he’s been good
past few weeks and if David isn’t fit, it could be an option
(albeit as risky one) to look at.

As a West Brom supporter that brings back horrible memories of a
painful period in the club’s recent history … Pulis is very
similar to Eddie Jones & Jose Mourinho … his mantra is “I’ve got
a method which wins football / rugby matches … leave me alone to
get on with it”
Eventually these guys get found out, rub people up the wrong way
and get sacked … although at least Mourinho won a few trophies
along the way … I think / hope that Jones is one defeat against
France away from getting shown the door

I think this kind of incident is difficult to referee
consistently. Did DC touch the ball, or the Bristol player's
arm, or does that distinction not matter? Also, these kinds of
momentary fumbles for the ball as players are falling or hit the
floor are relatively common. These incidents happen quite
regularly through games. Do you think the potential for
inconsistent refereeing doesn't matter too much, so long as
referees act on these incidents when they seem to prevent a real
opportunity for the aggrieved side?
