Interesting, and sounds like it has at least half a chance of
working. It would mean a different flavour of Prem - but it's
not so different from some of the pre-professionalism league
systems, and if it improves financial viability and player
welfare then that's got to be a good thing.
Something else I think they could do would be to include more
matches in the Season Ticket but not all first team. If the
first team is playing fewer matches, STs could include Women's
matches and Academy or A League matches to fill the slots. It
would need some investment in promoting the players and selling
the concept. Perhaps if there were a player watch or highlights
programme to bring out the best performances from rising academy
stars and female players we could start to build an audience for
those games.

The upheaval from England being able to determine which
internationals should play for which clubs and to remove
academies from clubs and link to universities will be a hugely
contentious set of issues.
While fewer matches for players makes all sorts of sense,
reducing the amount of games from ~ 40 to 26 or so will mean
prices have to go up big time or huge payments from a sponsor
with impossibly large pockets.

that'll involve more money for players. He really should have
been a wendyballer, that so suits his character

There are a few justifiable reasons why you might not like OF,
but speaking up for higher player wages is not one of them.
Rugby players are paid a tiny fraction of what soccer players
earn, and play a game that is far more likely to leave them with
permanent damage or end their careers early through injury.
They're underpaid for what they do because the sport isn't big
enough to pay them more.
If this offers them a route to reduce the amount of physical
damage they take and get paid a fairer wage, then he has every
right to speak for it, especially as that role is almost
certainly one he's been appointed to by his peers. As one of the
earliest second generation professionals, he's well qualified to
do so. Even if he has been complicit in breaking the salary cap
rules in the past.

Although I'd argue footballers are grotesquely (I wish I could
think of a stronger adjective) overpaid for what they do - so
whilst I understand your argument, that comparison probably
wouldn't gain Faz too many supporters if that were to be the
justification...
It's all market forces at the end of the day. I do think Prem
Rugby has upped its game a little bit on the brand side of
things - more games on FTA and pushing the social media side
will only help to progress the brand further. But it's never
going to reach the hideous heights of the Premier League - and
it shouldn't.
