Yup. It did look like an honest attempt but playing the ball of
his feet close to our try line.
Fortunately for us Newcastle were dreadful in attack. Even when
we had 15 everything was sideways. Far from a classic but I
never felt the result was in doubt and the boys did enough for
       maximum points.

Awful atmosphere I thought. Crowd only seemed engaged when we
       were down to 13.
PA blaring out rubbish music every break in play. Stopped is
       cheering when Mike ran out.
       Bah humbug

In other news, it turns out Archie White looks a fair bit better
       after some consistent game time.

Wasn't flat at our end. And the South stand massive were
       certainly giving it their all.

I know two seasons ago we wouldn't have thought so but Archie
has turned into a sterling back row player in the same mould as
Lawday. A grunt who just works his socks off.

Both were absolutely nailed on YCs.

To me it was like Quins and the fans in the stadium expected to
win and easily and were sleepwalking along. Until the two yellow
cards that seemed to spark both the team and fans into life.
Don’t get me wrong we scored some nice tries in the first half,
however, we gave up possession so easily and spent large periods
       in our half and defending.

Care’s, yes. Not so sure about Northmore’s though? I wasn’t
totally convinced that he was attempting to play the ball. No
question it hit his arm but it looked more like he was raising
his arm in preparation to tackle rather than trying to target
the ball. Scrum Falcons would have been a more appropriate
       sanction IMO.
Anyway - another very important BP win. Not a brilliant
performance but more positives to take away than negatives for
       sure.

5 points and into second place before the rest of the games this
weekend. Some cracking tries scored in the first half and some
resolute defence when down to 13. The latter aided by Falcons
misfiring attack but very pleasing nonetheless.
I wasn’t sold on Northmore’s yellow. Care’s makes more sense now
I’ve seen it on replay. McGuigan was Falcons best player. Was a
       pest all evening.
All in all some good mileage in the legs for some of the
returnees. Our scrum easily bested theirs. First half of the
second half really won’t live long in the memory though.

I thought both yellows were pretty clear once I'd watched a
replay of the game at home.
For 2/3 into the season and during the 6 nations we were able to
field a pretty strong team. Newcastle have some proper pace out
wide - god knows what Radwan has to do to get a proper chance
with England - but they didn't make much progress going through
       the phases.
Scrum was strong, lineout still a bit erratic. Defence strong.
Glad I went, It was pretty cold by the end though!
