I believe it's player of the match now. Or star of the match in
Europe. Presumably just in case the player in question does not
identify as a man
Fair play for Adams giving his award away, but would you really
want to keep it? Players get slated for taking their runners up
medals off, but it's the same thing really

@T-bone, I believe it's Star of the match in Europe, due to
Heinekens sponsorship, their trade mark (logo) being a big red
star.

Yes, I realise that in europe it is star, due to heineken. the
point being, they have decided they need something other than
"man" of the match. seems rather pointless to me, but what do I
know. perhaps the change has led to previously marginalised
groups feeling more welcome, which can only be a good thing
