simply untrue and unfounded allegation . i simply have concerns
about parity and imbalance in the league and pros playing
against amateurs week in week out . wouldn't happen in top mens
game so why should it happen in womens league

Except it clearly does still happen in the men’s Championship -
ie just one level below the top men’s game.
And you’re comparing a men’s game that has been fully pro for 25
years and with a women’s pro game very much in its infancy.
I very much guess that the days of shamateurism had (in essence)
pro men versus amateurs. Possibly even in the early days of pro
rugby as without a rich backer, clubs couldn’t overnight find
the cash to pay players.
