Not sure March should just ‘walk’ back into the starting 15,
very good player but I thought what we had on the pitch V wasps
did very well and should also play this week, especially as I
expect that we hadn’t planned for March to be available.

Good point. But Joe is a class player. You're right who would he
replace, when we already have Oscar, Louis, Cadan and Huw. But
great player to have in the squad Irrespective.

Shame for Marchant. He didn't really play that well in either
game and is clearely held to a different standard than Daly or
Youngs. They are allowed plenty of average or bad games, because
of some other qualities which are a complete mystery to me.
Marchant has a couple of average, though not necessarily bad,
games and gets dropped.
Fully expected Tuilagi to come straight back in, but thought Joe
might get a bench spot. Oh well, our gain

I think what most people mean when they say stuff like this is
that, in Marchant's case for example, he's a much better 13 than
wing and he doesn't have proper winger's pace. Obviously he's
such a good player that he can do a decent enough job at wing in
most cases.

March has such a massive impact on our defensive shape as a
whole, it is good to have him back

Personally its a poor call to have Marchant on the wing,
considering the options we have. Sure, if we have injuries it
makes sense, but its not his best position. I can only imagine
he's been put there to show his versatility to EJ in the hope he
has a good game to reinforce why he should be at least on the
England bench.
For me he would be at 13 all day long. Jones had probably his
best game for us against Wasps, but Marchant to me is a
different level in that position. Jones is the sort of player
that needs to approach every game like he needs a stormer and
play out of his skin to be effective, where as Marchant even on
a quiet day you know you will probably still get solid defence
and limited if any penalties.
