O/T question but does anyone know if he's related to Richard
Beard? Today's Grauniad 'Breakdown' refers to the latter as
author of one of the best rugby books ever written.
Just curious... and nosey.

Possibly not - he states (on England Rugby Site) that his
proudest moment was his Grandmother getting an MBE - I'm sure
the his Dad would have to a mention for a rugby related book,
but who knows...

Can I just say what strength he has. Two times in that game he
powered through multiple tackles once to score and one to set up
the ruck for Andre's try.
I love Louis but he doesn't have that in his locker.

I do wonder whether he'd make a good FB - I can't recall his
skill under the high ball/kicking skills, but he gets proper
stuck in and isn't shy of a bit of rough and tumble: anyone got
better insight?

Really? From what I've seen he's also remarkably strong in the
tackle - but has the speed and footwork to them more than he
takes them.

I know what you mean Poorfour but those great tries were within
5 metres of the try line, Beard is dragging them along with him
all over the field.

I believe Oscar played a lot of age group at 13, could see that
being where he ends up. Although not an area we’re short of
quality, he is 4/5 years younger than Northmore and Marchant.
