Our Coaches

According to Times this morning our brilliant 3 coaches have all
signed contracts to become permanent members of Staff. The
really good news is that Adam Jones is moving his family up here
which makes it really feel permanent. According to Times will
stop other Clubs trying to poach them as well. Long may the
triumvirate continue.

We do need a coach that can miraculously heal injuries in 24
hours though!

A good decision. They have shown their worth. The microscope is
on them a bit at the moment, particularly Nev with our handling,
but realistically there isn’t many we could bring in to do a
better job overall.

I really like the way they're changing the way that contracts
for the coaches are being handled, moving from fixed term to
permanent means that subconsciously the coaches will be more
invested in the club at an emotional level, rather than spending
their last year of a contract considering other offers, trying
to impress the current CEO etc. It will also impact on how the
club plans player development & recruitment as well, as there's
more incentive to plan longer term by the coaching staff rather
than trying quick fixes to get short term results at the expense
of longer term planning.
