People have very short memories. At the beginning of the season,
Allan was playing so well people said we didn't need to rush
Smith back..then he got concussed followed by a nasty head
injury and has come back into a team struggling for form and
missing a lot of first choice players

       What I wrote was
'And no, I'm not saying Edwards is better than Smith, but better
or more suited to the Harlequins way than Allan.'
The key word is 'or', as in is Edwards better or more suited.
That is not me claiming Edwards is better as you claim I have
       said.
But I really don't care anymore, the fun is gone and I can't be
bothered to try and reason with anyone.
People can think what they want, I think Edwards is more suited
to our style of play, disagree if you like but don't try to
belittle others views, it's not nice or nessesary.

No, not at all. I remember his first game at Newcastle like it
       was yesterday.
For me he got injured / had to recover from concussion and
Edwards has taken his opportunities when he has had them.
Nothing against Allen, he will have his opportunities again.
However the 10 shirt is Edwards after the wasps game yesterday.
What ever the arguments, it's good to have competition for
       places.

Edwards has done more than we expected of him, and so far it has
paid off repeatedly. But wait til he has a couple of bad games -
which he will, inevitably - and watch the knives come out on
       here.
At the moment, Edwards is having the better time of it, but
there will come a point when he’s not, and when we’ll look to
Allan as the better backup. The challenge for Quins is not
deciding which one is better, but being able to keep a roster of
       three good fly halves.
You’re never as good as your good press, and never as bad as
your bad press. And that goes double or triple for comments on
       an online forum.

Disagreeing with you or challenging your point of view is not me
       trying to ‘belittle’ your views.
I shouldn’t have said your earlier post was ignorant and I
       apologise if that offended you.
