Awful decision by Jones. Even Stuart Barnes wrote a whole
article on it in the Sunday Times.
I think it shows events have over-taken Eddie Jones and he needs
to be replaced.
When does his contract end?

You have the best 10 in the World currently who can make magic
in the last quarter of a game and you take him off for a
territory specialist with great aerial bombs, of which he did
neither.
You couldn't have predicted Cowan Dickie's brain fart but it all
fell apart from that moment when Smith went off. No leadership
on the pitch whatsoever and poor Tom Curry, let down by the
so-called experienced players around him.
Taxi for Eddie, as we'll struggle in Paris with that game plan
and may not even beat Ireland at HQ, so 4th at best for me,
bloody awful.

It’s frankly insulting to think Marcus wasn’t capable of closing
out the game.
He showed no real signs he was blowing out his arse, nor was he
injured, or making continuous errors.
The raft of changes was a massive momentum shift in my view.
Frontrow was fine, but he should of subbed Malins or Marchant a
lot sooner to bring Nowell on. Or Daly and move Joe.
Marcus has shown on the big stage he has the minerals, weather
that’s the final or against SA. The fact is, EJ will always have
his favourites and will play them until the last possible period
up before everyone attacking him. The Saracens mob last 6
nations spring to mind.

The scoreline says it all, really. At 60 minutes, Scotland 10-17
Marcus Smith, at 80, Scotland 20-17 Marcus Smith.
Can't really build the scoreline if you're not on the pitch

Yes, we were beating the Scots until Marcus was subbed. So I
can't really argue with Bish's comment. Eddie Jones rescued the
Scots,. Despite the fact they were playing some excellent rugby,
I still think they'd have lost if Marcus had stayed on.

I agree the decision to take Smith off was really odd, I don’t
see Ford as a game changer but one who could close out a game
you winning well or one who could kick percentages to get you
back in it, however we didn’t need that!
I also have to applaud Scotland who played a good defensive game
and didn’t allow us quick ball. Our carriers did not really
trouble of force them to load rucks, I think they always had
numerical advantage on defence.

Ben Youngs hasn’t been playing 80 for Tigers and he should have
come off. If he doesn’t trust Randell he should not have been on
the bench.

but who was in the coach's seat.
