When you are in a position of strength (eg selling out every
home game) you can do what you like. It's a bit like being a
vital West Ham player and owning a cat.

Dalrymple has said on twitter that season ticket holders charged
a booking fee will be refunded as it shouldnt happen.

When Big Game started ME promised ONE game a season across the
road. Now obviously Covid is exceptional but I really don’t
think Laurie realizes the Hassle this is for many of us apart
from the dislike of playing with ground just over half full. I
know he wants to get rid of us oldies and get younger blood but
we have to go through this all again next week for Montpellier.
Anyway let’s hope they get the revenue but really hope it does
not become twice a year every year.

Well there are some negative vibes on this thread but for me I
think it is a brilliant idea. Have been a STH for many years and
I have no problem with switching to the Big Stoop. I think there
will be a more partisan atmosphere than for Big Game and I think
it will be close to a sell-out. The boys will be pumped. An
opportunity to get a gang of mates together and enjoy some
summer rugby at HQ. Bring it on!

I'm one that was negative - I don't like Big Stoop as much as
Real Stoop; but as it will no doubt help the club, I'll support
it and go along - hopefully the weather will be good and we can
all have great day, so I leave you with an image...

If this was to “ Grow the game” you would have to look at all
the times we have had to play Sarries at Wembley, and should
that have worked Sarries would have the biggest home crowd of
any club, along with us and the numerous big Games
The way to grow the game is to win and play attractive rugby
with a great atmosphere
The problem with these events is it’s one big drinking
experience for many, that combined with the Mexican wave element
is the main reason I won’t be going and seems to be the same for
a good few
It doesn’t mean you don’t support the team, and find some of the
comments on social media laughable that people who don’t like
the event aren’t getting behind the club

I do think there should be an option to claim your money back if
you don’t wish to go to this game.
I am going and hope it works and is an enjoyable game in the
☀️ but do sympathise with those who don’t like to
go to Twickers for these games and it would be interesting to
see how many ST holders feel this way.
Maybe they should have done it for the Montpellier game where we
all need to buy tickets.

Fair counterpoint re: Sarries. It staggers me that they never
really got people crawling all over themselves to go there given
the levels of success when we've averaged pretty high
attendances even when we've been trying to find new ways to lose
to an already relegated London Irish a couple of years back. Our
ability to market ourselves and our 'brand' does seem larger
than theirs despite our comparative recent records on the pitch
(fair means or foul in terms of Salary blah).
